The Declaration of Independence, penned by Thomas Jefferson

At the age of 33, Thomas Jefferson brilliantly composed the initial drafts of the Declaration of Independence. It took the yound Mr. Jefferson 17 days to handwrite the document.  After some revision through a committe of five, Congress approved the bulk of the document on July 4, 1776.

This Declaration, destined to become one of the world's most significant documents, is renowned for its second sentence:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These words, penned over two centuries ago, continue to resonate deeply in the human soul, not merely because they are lofty ideals, but because they reflect humanity's enduring quest for purpose, fulfillment and joy.

They remind us of our created purpose and the ultimate end for us to realize that being human—endowed with life, dignity, and created in God's image—is truly extraordinary.

In today's America, numerous alarming elements threaten life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, whether through direct attacks, covert manipulation of public opinion, or the spread of false notions of freedom.  As Americans guided by the light of faith, let us heal, elevate, and purify those elements that have led us astray.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROSPECTIVE HOME BUYERS


Starting on August 17th, a Realtor CANNOT show you a home until you have signed a Buyer’s Brokerage Agreement with that agent.

These new rules are being imposed on all Realtors NATIONWIDE.

The typical form between a prospective Buyer and the Realtor is the Buyers Brokerage Agreement. This will be a simple contract between you and the Realtor saying you will be using them to buy a home.

This new requirement is not something Realtors want to do, but we will be required to comply with these regulations as part of the federal court settlement.

Selecting the professional agent you want to help you find, negotiate and buy a home is an important decision and not one that should be forced upon you just to see a home.

So the good news is that you and the showing agent will determine when the agreement expires. Though you may have to sign an agreement to see a specific home, if you’re not yet ready to fully commit to an agent, you can always request an agreement that expires in a day, a week, a month... whatever!

Please don’t become upset with your local Realtor when they require you to sign something before showing you a home.
We have no choice in the matter.
